International Consulting Services
The principals of Nordic Fishmonger have spent most of their careers working in the seafood field. They are widely travelled and work well with governments and industry. Nordic Fishmonger is proud of its successful accomplishments in providing a broad range of seafood assistance consulting services.
Seafood Quality Control
New demands have been placed on industry and governments to meet stricter seafood regulations. Over the past 15 years we have provided assistance to international organizations, governments and the private sector in meeting new quality control standards. We provide a full range of hands on services from vessel to market.
HACCP
We assisted the U.S. Government in developing it’s Seafood HACCP programs. We worked with government and industry in North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in implementing HACCP programs, Our experts are certified by the U.S. Association of Food and Drug Officials of the United States to train industry and government in HACCP procedures.
Sanitation
We have evaluated sanitation programs in over 250 establishments in a dozen countries that export product to the United States. JSA develops custom training courses and works one on one with industry and governments to implement sanitation programs.
Training
We conduct training programs in all aspects of fisheries, quality control and processing. Custom programs are formulated for class room and hands on training in the U.S. or host country. JSA has conducted training programs with InfoFish, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Fisheries Institute, Agency for International Development, National Marine Fisheries Service, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Government of Oman, Government of Thailand, Government of Indonesia, Peoples Republic of China and others. Clients response has been excellent.
Fisheries Management, Development and Trade
JSA provides technical assistance in evaluating fishery management information and enforcement programs. We assist the private sector in exporting products to the U.S. market and in developing processing methods.
